Hey Jealousy

Hey jealousy,
I can’t believe you’re here.
I talk about you lively
But forsake your blinding peer.

I need to hold you close;
I need to hold you near.
I need to feel your happiness
And your warmth around my ear.

Cheery and weary
All at once.
I can’t believe I’m speaking
Of this emphatic little dunce.

I’m broken and solemn,
My day approaching near.
Following the corona
Of our sun’s grievant tears.

I’m endeared to the living,
Increasing the vast –
Usurping the vacant
For the living’s everlast.

I can’t break the cycle
Of insomniatic waste –
My heart seems to differ,
And mind fails taste.

Alone.
Broken.
Still bleeding inside –
Forgotten in this mixture,
Left to be so blind.
