Failed Bus Lyrics

Once a failed lyric
Crossed my brain
Something about a bus
A plane
And maybe a train.

But now I can’t remember,
This curse I hold in vain.
Perhaps, “Get on this bus again”
Or “Riddle the bus with holes” –
Searchlight faded moonlight
For this lyrical undertow.

From North Missisippi
The lyrics were sung true,
I’m glad the torture is over
And wasn’t heard by you.

Let me explain. I went to see John Mayer a few weeks ago and their opener was a band named “North Mississippi Allstars” and there was this song horrible song they sang. I can’t remember the name or the lyrics today – just something about a bus. It was truly “backwoods” music coming out. This poem is for them. hah. It’s as bad as their lyrics.
