Sailing With You, My Friend
Never a cracked motion,
In the circles we glide.
Flying back to what you know,
Going farther than you were going to go;
Drifting longer than ever before.
Head high,
Wind beneath;
Soaring onward –
The clouds we breach.
Excited by the swiftness
Of the motions you make.
Invigorated in the light
Shining below on the lake.
Don’t know what it is
About the greatness of this ride.
But I know that I’ll never let go
Of these memories inside.
Eyes open wide,
Hands clenching tight –
Gripping the clouds
Floating into the night.
Sailing around
On the sea of wind –
No better place,
No better time,
Than being here with you,
My friend.
