Staring Behind

Grass parted,
Along the pathway
To the house in which you dwell;
Reverent grandmother
Chanting show tunes
While baking cookies, oh the smell.

Peacefulness,
Overcoming –
Enchanted till the morrow.
Wrapped in blankets,
Knit by grandma,
Sofly sleeping away sorrow.
