Love is like
Finding True North
On a pathway that’s scattered.

Love is like
Compliments someone leaves
Leaving you smiling and flattered.

Even when love stings
It shines through the rough;
Knowing all that love brings
Makes it worthwhile, even when tough.

Love is like
Dancing in the rain
After a hot, sunny day.

Love is like
Pushing all the barriers down
That stand in your way.

Breaking free
Of the strings of ages
Enchants dreams of fantasy
Unforeseen by the sages.

Love holds on
In the strongest of storms
That pull apart a soul.

Love holds on
Through the harvested feelings
Till the day we grow old.
