Darkened Embrace

An opening
In the desolate plain;
Leaving. The only shred
of hope
In memory of the last time
When you spoke
Her name;
Outloud, in front for all to see.
The last time you did that
I lost a fraction for you;
A fraction of respect within you.
To no end you sought to defeat me;
With your wits ablaze
I sent you tumbling
Inward – to the haze
From whence you came.

And another,
A passion for a friend
lies dear.
Only replaced by fear;
Fear on her lobes without prevail –
Left here standing, crying out for loved one;
Left again. Broken. Longing. Untrue.

Into her midnight dress
She slips,
Wanting, lusting for his begotten kiss.
Awaiting, somberly for the time
To come; In arms, in flailing arms she’ll run.
To set her free with no recourse.
None.
