Dreams Pass By

When the morning sun comes
And breaks the night
You’ll still have each other
Until that next flight.

A flight in passing
And mournful with tears
You’ll wonder if it’s worth it
For a few more years.

Deep in your heart,
You’ll fantisize of the two;
You’ll long again for love
And pray for it’s imbue.

Saturating your pillows
And staining your sheets
Mounted anxiety
Over next week’s feats.

Waiting and wondering
Hoping and plundering
The dreams of your future
Loudly leaving you, thundering.

A glimpse in the shadows;
A secret wisdom.
Provides insight your crave
And an ear to listen.

Urging and surging
The words become docile
Tonight you’ll rest
Far from the hostile.
