With Shattered Fairytales

With shattered fairytales;
Aside broken bliss.
In the night time she writes
Of times while entranced, times amiss.

Feeling inner beauty,
Beating her own punch;
Evading melancholic desperation
While trifling over a hunch.

Support from afar,
Seemingly so dear;
Still left wanting resolution
Of innermost fear.

Alone is scary
But broken is precarious –
Saddened by inevitable losses
She chooses the nefarious.

Mostly optimistic,
She advances down fast
To the sepulcher known as “heart” –
Where she can be intimate with the past.

Only leaving traces
Of tears on soiled sheets;
Leaving lonely, shattered fairytales
At night as she weeps.
