Unclaimed Reasoning
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I look into the world today,
Blind at what lies ahead.
Not seeing blue skies above me,
But Brown and sometimes red.
I see a lot of hate and fear
Towering above us all.
I exclaim to you too late, my dear,
At times I’m even appauled.
We destroy our own kind,
And others too.
This hatred must stop “Now”, I exclaim.
If not we’re doomed to end, you see;
In the hell of a burning flame.
People today don’t really care
About things that lie in store.
Please answer the question I have today,
This answer, I do Implore!
But first you must know the question
That I continue to ask of thee.
The question is simple and easy to phrase,
It sometimes ponders me.
I don’t know if you can answer me,
I honestly do not know.
But here is comes stright from my mouth,
I let the question go.
“Will this hatred and destruction stop real soon,
Or shall it go on forever?
Shall we destroy Nature’s Everlasting bloom,
And slowly, but surely dissever?”
The question has been put forth,
The rest is up to you.
It’s a test or your mind, body, and your soul.
But please answer it, will you?
This is an old poem from 1994. I was 14 at the time.
It makes this writing 8 years old. Damn, I was a weird kid.
