Spinning
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I stared into the evening sky
Seeing the sun set in the distance.
The dim red halos filtered through the clouds
As I sorted through my own existence.
The sun finally set
Dragging it’s silent serenity
Into the night –
Where the crisp air frightens divinity;
Subtracting light.
The bustle of the day is lost
And only the sound of silence persists.
The once glowing skyline is black
And now clouded by the rising mist.
I sat in the darkness awaiting my new beginning
And was greeted with the sunrise behind me.
As the sun broke the darkness a smile shown my face –
A new beginning ahead and me just spinning in place.
