A brisk, fall breeze
blows through my window;
I wonder how my my soul will blend.

A midnight sky
shows overhead;
Dark and starry as my heart prepares for bed.

Remembering times
that have just past;
Hoping for friendships that will always last.

Cool chills
run down my spine;
As I talk to a friend from down the line.

Tonight I’ll sleep
as thought it’s all OK.
Tomorrow I’ll awake to another day.
