A friend of mine has had a rough time dealing with things for a while. This is for her to make her feel better about things.

Smiles For Brittany

I wish there was a way for me
To bring a smile to poor Brittany.
Her face drawls down like rainy days
She fills with rage – her head a-craze.

I poke and prod and hope she smiles;
Try to stretch her smile for miles.
To bring her up and drawl her in,
To make her smile once again.

I offer hugs and help and fun.
I talk to her until she’s done –
But when the outside affects her so,
I try to tell her to just let go.

Sometimes she’s mad;
Sometimes she cries.
Sometime she even gets butterflies.

I hope I see a day when she’s herself;
So she can take her smiles down from the shelf.

Hugs to you Brittany. I know you need it.
