Passing Moments

Precious memories of times gone by,
Moments passing; how time does fly.
Streaming subtleties I won’t repress –
Open-heartedness I do confess.

Everlasting simple novelties of life,
Passing moments all taken in strife.
No further thoughts about those that are gone;
Just trains of silence with them moving on.

Alone I sit until my next flare,
A time when my life will be somewhat fair.
I may wait forever to break from this melee,
And push forward to embrace my inevitable eternity.

Forever is awhile and awhile is forever;
My concept of time is clouded; my what an endeavor.
I take on my challenges in full stride –
I hope I do it with just enough pride.

With open arms I’ll embrace my fate,
Whatever tomorrow brings I’ll pause and wait.
I’ll wait for the end of the old to see new;
Will “new” be alone or start with you?
