Thoughts

Harsh, punishing images.
Uncaring public actions.
Innocence disreguarded.
Militant fucked factions.

Tears freely flowing.
People open groaning.
Needing retaliation.
Justice needs distilling.

Birds still not flying.
People still are dying.
Guilty still are lying.
Babies still are crying.

Will the chaos end;
Or flow out to the streets?
Will we ever sleep again soundly;
Soundly in our sheets.
