Kayla and Timmy are having their final exams this week. They had English 9 and Global Studies I earlier this week. They are currently taking the Regents exam in Earth Science. Tomorrow afternoon they take the Regents in Algebra II, and on Monday morning they will take the school district Spanish exam. Then ninth grade will officially be over.

I never took Earth Science in high school. My husband did. I was having some personal problems at the end of eighth grade and the beginning of ninth grade, and I didn’t want to take Earth Science. I took General Science instead. It basically covered the same things, only we took a school district exam at the end instead of the state Regents. After ninth grade I became interested in science, and I had a science major in college.

Aaron is almost finished with the sixth grade. They have elementary school graduation practice tomorrow, and Monday evening is the graduation. Several kids are giving a short talk at the graduation, and Aaron will be one of them. He had speech issues when he was younger, and has received speech therapy in school. For him to be giving a talk in front of the parents is quite an accomplishment.

This past month the kids had softball and baseball. It was a rainy month and several of the games were postponed because of rain, but they managed to make up all of the games.
