And So it Begins! in Just in Case

We were able to get up to school today. (There was a parking lot full of us up there! lol) It’s always a lot of work to put the room back together, but it was even worse this year, because they painted my room. They didn’t quite use the color I picked, which made me a little sad, it’s a little too green, but it’s SOOOOOOO much better than the sea foam/mold green. Normally you can leave things on top of the lockers (which includes 6 or 7 book shelves with the shelves full and the things on top of them as well.) Also there are things on top of the storage shelves. I had to take all of that down. I did this in a way that would have made it as easy as possible to put them back up. Well, they stripped and waxed my floor before they painted (which makes no sense, but anyway - ) so they moved all the stuff - as in EVERYTHING. It’s such a mess. I didn’t get as much done today as I wanted, because I ended up having to take care of other things and not my room. (Helping my friend who took the job at the central office, helping my new asst principal, helping a few others with computer issues.) I h ad my door open because of the paint fumes, tomorrow, I’m going to open a window, put a fan in, and keep my door closed. lol This picture is one I sent a friend, to explain why I couldn’t go somewhere with them tomorrow. It stresses me. Literally - getting a little bit of anxiety looking at it.

Tomorrow I’m going to take a picture from the same spot and it WILL be better. (The picture is from my desk/table, I had to set my computer up first to be able to play music. Pandora is my friend! :D)

It's ridiculous that the janitors/ maintainance staff leave it in a mess like that . My Dad was a principal for many years and he would have had a stroke if the cleaners / painters had left rooms looking like that before school was due to start soon . He was very hands on even though he always was in large schools.
