Well, a look around and it’s more or less the same. I’ll still be using Photobucket to host pics. I need to go there and make sure I can still use it, but one way or another it will work out.

Sketch of the situation: I am living in the High Desert north of Los Angeles, California, now, but in the last few years I have lived on the north Coast of Callie, in the inner Coast Ranges of north central NorCal, and now in the Southwest, again, after 36 years of living elsewhere.

I am a Patrol Officer on the California Aqueduct. Water travels down the 360 plus miles of the Aqueduct, from NorCal, from a lake behind the Oroville Dam (which we were living above) to the SoCal deserts, where the biggest part of this state’s population lives.
If you know California at all, my division covers all of the SoCal run of the Aqueduct, from Tejon Pass on Interstate Five to Cajon Pass on Interstate Fifteen. Three patrols cover that length of the Aqueduct, and I drive two of them during the week, in the middle of the night, and see a desert sunrise five days a week.

Life is pretty good now - no complaints. My girlfriend and I - I moved from Portland “for” her - and I have been together over three years now.

All in all, life is Good and it’s fair to say that this life has been an adventure. I am living The Dream and no snark intended; I am a Happy Cat.

Onwards.
