Lately, maybe because I am more aware - keeping a food diary helps there - or because I am taking MANY supplements for various health needs, I find my cravings are different. I still desire certain foods...but anyone who is at the mercy of food cravings would find the list to be VERY strange. In the past few months, I have rediscovered cauliflower. I order it when I am at a restaurant and buy a couple of bags of pre-cut cauliflower at Trader Joe's. I steam it in the microwave for 4-5 minutes then top it with grated cheese, dressing or even canned soup. In the past few weeks, I have been craving potatoes. I cook them for about 7 minutes in the microwave (two or three VERY tiny ones) and eat them plain. Sometimes I also cook up a sweet potato at the same time. I can have them with cheese or topped with soup also, but often just have them as is. Interestingly they don't seem to do much damage to my blood sugar levels... which is a GOOD thing. If I want something sweet, I LOVE Greek yogurt. I have it with thinly sliced banana (so there's banana in every spoonful) and sprinkle ground flax seed on the top. I started with Fage Greek yogurt, have tried MANY other brands, but still think Fage has the taste I like the best. I am a "purist" and only have the non-fat, plain yogurt - no fruit. I feel the others are just too sweet for me.

Ive been adding a small baked potato to a salad and that's been filling me up pretty well.

I've found that the market has bags of VERY tiny baked potatoes. I prefer them to the large Idaho and Maine potatoes.

sorry, baking potatoes. Actually I cook mine in the microwave - I don't have the patience for the amount of time the oven would take.
