My co-worker here at technically my main office but I’m only here 2 days is an odd duck. She complained to me earlier that she didn’t like the way our boss spoke to her in front of another employee. Our boss is very controlling. She has to know exactly what we are doing for the day and if she wants something done its her way only. She told my co-worker to drop off paperwork to another employee and if she wasn’t in her office to leave it on her chair. The employee wasn’t in her office, actually she wasn’t in that day. So instead she left it in her mail box. The employee came looking for the paperwork since our boss emailed her it would be on ‘her chair’ and it wasn’t. Our boss reprimanded her in front of the other employee that she didn’t ‘do as she was told’. The difference is my coworker said she ‘should’ have said afterward that it was inappropriate for her to speak to her in front of another employee that way, it should have been done in private. She didn’t say anything. I pointed out to her that since its just her now she has to speak up. As I am the one that usually does.
BUT she (my coworker) has no qualms saying something to me. I was looking at my phone and she asked me if ‘everything was alright’. I said ‘yes’. She said ‘oh, so you just don’t feel like working today?’ – WTF? I look at my phone for 5 minutes and your going to act like an ass? I gave her a face and she backtracked and said, ‘Well there isn’t that much to do here anyway.’.

Please, give me a break. As long as I’m doing my work.. please don’t worry about me. - Ugh.

Some bosses tend to be so parental with workers. I don't care what anyone in my office does as long as work is getting done.
