Last Sunday, we brought Xueling to the beach. She had a good time,
and so did we:

until we left the beach, and she decided that that she wanted to run. I'd gotten as far as No, don't run, be careful, resulting in her speeding up, and then she tripped. On a concrete path.
She flipped over forwards, and, for some reason, didn't brace her impact as she normally does, which mean that she rolled up onto the right side of her face and proceeded to slide along on it.
The results were... painful:
It didn't actually look so bad here, but then it started to scab over:

It heals pretty fast, though.

And yesterday.
The skin is still crinkly and pink, and I'm waiting for it to get better.
All I can say is: thank goodness she heals like me, rather than like Caffeine.
