Green Thumb asked for our family’s roll recipe. This one comes from my husband’s Amish grandmother’s collection. It is very versatile. The dough can be formed into balls for dinner rolls or gussied up for cinnamon rolls. To make sticky buns, cover the bottom of the baking sheet with melted butter, brown sugar, and maple syrup. Roll the dough up like a jelly-roll with or without a filling (we did it without). After baking, flip the pan to turn them out.
Cinnamon Rolls Recipe:
Letting it rise in an oiled bowl:
Roll out dough, brush with melted butter, top with brown sugar and nuts:
Roll up jelly-roll style, then slice:
Arrange on lightly greased pans and let rise again:
When they touch each other, it’s time to bake:
When rolls have cooled, it’s time to glaze:
Enjoy!

I gotta try this---especially the "gussied up" version (love that description)!

I don't know about that I was thinking more of a regional thing as I don't associate that phrase with the south, but you aren't a native Floridian so perhaps that explains it. Yeah, that's the story and we're sticking with it😜😜
