Just read back a bit further in OD and realised something else that happened.

After a while on my new bike, the Bonneville America, it soon became apparent that I was enjoying the bike at all. Checked photos, and it really was too small for me, and I had little faith in the front end during wet weather (and it was too slow for me! LOL), so I swapped it for a Triumph Tiger 1050 SE. Wow,what a difference. I test rode the bike before I bought it and felt like I'd been riding it all my life. Confidence in the bike was instant and I was throwing her around like it was a 125. So the deal was done there and then, and since I have had it I've done loads of miles in all weathers. The first big ride I did was with an old RAF mate to Germany for a squadron reunion. We did over 600 miles in 4 days. we set off early in the morning and the weather was nasty! It was October 2012, very dark at 5.30 am and rained....constantly...for 140 miles all the way to the port to meet the ferry, and as we rolled up to the passport check it stopped! After that thought we had glorious sunshine for the rest of the weekend. The bike is absolutely brilliant and I have really taken to her. I still have the Trophy 1200 at the moment. It has been off the road for 12 months, but is going into the dealers next week to be serviced and put back on the road, then I will probably sell her. I was hoping to keep her, but can't see her rotting in the garage when I know I won't ride her as I'm having too much fun on the Tiger! There is a lot of life left in the Trophy so it's only fair that someone else will get some enjoyment from her.

That's it, when I sort out putting pics on here I will try to post some for you!
