Yet again... in Just in Case

I’m behind. I swear, I don’t know how I end up so far behind. Life has been very busy lately, and this time change is kicking my butt. It always does. Sleep and I aren’t the best of friends, and my body seriously feels that lost hour in the morning. I try to go to bed early, but it’s always well after midnight before I finally fall asleep. I wake up at 5, so that’s just not enough. Once I get home and stop doing things and sit (when I normally would get on here), I play a little on facebook and veg. You’d think with all that time I’d be able to catch up, but I’m always so tired, my brain just doesn’t work right. But there’s no excuse. I will be catching up as soon as I can.
Life has been going ok. School is busy. We are just a week and a half from the start of state testing. It’s on computer for the first time. Which, as a teacher causes me stress, but as one of our school’s tech people causes me enough stress to make me want to vomit most days. I’m getting all sorts of twitchy when I walk down the hall. I try not to meet people’s eyes, because if I do, they pull me aside to tell me about some technology issue they have. It’s bad.
On the plus side, we just put an incubator in my classroom today. It’s a project that they are doing with the K-3 classes (local ag association), since 3rd is now departmentalized, I thought maybe they would have an extra incubator, so I expressed interest in doing it. At first they didn’t have one, but one of my student’s dad family owns a family farm that raises grass fed beef, chickens, etc. They came through with a couple of nice ones. The 4th grade teacher and I both set one up today. So I’ve got 4 eggs in there hoping to get feathery babies out of. Just 21 short days.
I’m sure there’s more, but I’m tired, I need to finish doing some dishes and will hopefully head to bed soon.

Ugh, sleep. I want so much more of it.

I'd love to see pics of your incubator. Do you know what kinds of chickens you have going?

What will you do with the chicks after they hatch ?

After I play and snuggle with them, the kids will all get to check them out, then our school librarian (who donated the eggs) will take them back home.
