Sick in Life

I’m home sick today. I hate being home sick, not just because I’m sick, but I hate missing work. As a teacher, and especially a cluster teacher in an elementary school, it if difficult for me to take off. There are never any music subs and I only see most of my kiddos once a week, so then they get behind. Plus, it’s the week before break, so everyone is feeling the stress. Cluster teachers (art, music, PE, etc), are the classroom teachers prep time, so I know it’s going to be a tough day getting all those classes covered. But can’t be puking and pooping on the kids!

TMI Saturday, I had the same thing. It was much worse than it is today. Super chills and shakes, puking and basically the thinnest diarrhea you can imagine. Just…peeing out of my butt. I felt awful. The babysitter took Freddie and I slept almost all day. Sunday I woke up feeling great! I ate, we went grocery shopping and played all day and I figured I was good to go. 24 hour bug. Nope! Woke up around 12:30am and about every 20 minutes until Dann got up around 7 to pee out my ass again. No puking though! Emailed my principal at 4am and called around 6:30am to let everyone know I wasn’t coming in. I feel ok if I’m not moving at all. I don’t have the shakes, but have some chills on and off. This sucks.

Freddie is home with me now. Gonna drop him with the babysitter when I’m ready to take a nap. Dann already dropped off his stuff. So thankful my babysitter lives in the building!

I cleaned the house yesterday and wiped off the doorknobs, remote controls, and my phone and tablet this morning. I need some Lysol spray to spray Freddie’s toys. He was sick on Friday with this, but not as bad. I’m either thinking we caught a virus or it might be from some of the frozen food we’ve been eating. Friday night I had burgers and then was super sick all day Saturday. Yesterday, I had some chicken nuggets with the baby for dinner and woke up with a rock hard stomach. So I dunno if it’s the food or a virus. Hopefully all is gone tomorrow.

Here’s to getting better!
