Not a word. in A small but passable life.

I finished reading “A Most Improbable Journey: A Big History of Our Planet and Ourselves” by Walter Alvarez yesterday. That was the book I’d checked out last Monday. I’m still waiting for two books that are on my “hold” list.

Last night, while pursuing more research I found something that should give us all hope. Kudos to “nursepatti” age 75! She had 239 current viewers which earned her a spot on the front page. And it looked like she making a bit of bank.

This morning I was up at my usual 10am for Sunday shave and shower. Somehow I’ve lost three pounds of mass in the past week. Odd. I usually bounce a couple of pounds back and forth. Three seems a bit much.

The weather has been beyond odd. February was warmer than a usual March. Very odd.

I had set the date of March 7th as the day to go to the woods or not. And I’ve decided I’m just not in the mood for it. And so I’ve made some practical excuses to justify the decision. One, I really don’t need to be incommunicado in case Mom calls needing help, or whatever. Two, the weather is actually too warm. And three, the Ozark’s woods are really starting to depress me. The dying trees, the overall scrubbiness, and the fact that they are so ‘park-like’ really has me missing Cascadia and the true forest. What’s left of it anyway. So yeah, just not feeling it.

And that means I’ve thirty pounds of food in two cat litter tubs that I need to take downstairs and put in the pantry. Everything will get eaten except for the instant coffee and the powdered milk. But those will last forever.

Look at that.

One whole entry and not a word about . . .

Damn I’m good!

The T-man? Shhhh. I won't tell, or remind you either.
I'm not sure if I'd spend that length of time in the woods or not. Being alone (without the internet (and nursepatti)) might be too much for me.
