If your love dies, never let it be because you did not love enough.

If it is somehow doomed to fail, do not let it be because you did not love enough.

Take every kiss, every glance, every moment when she lay within your arms - cherish every sigh, every tender touch, every spoken word and every “I love you”, but never let it be because you did not love enough.

Because when all is done, when all is finished, when the tattered ashes of your love lay strewn amongst the ruins of once great dreams, then all you will have to hold you up is the knowledge that you did, just this once, love enough.

OK, now that the soppy bullshit is done. For 2014, my mantra is as follows (per recommendation of someone in a far better financial situation than I):

It will always there for you to take.

It will always be enough.

Don’t get greedy.
