Wow... in Life

It’s been a crazy sort of day. It started fine. Everything at school went well. We didn’t even get the rain they thought we were, so we got to have recess outside. That’s always a win. Then my coworker got called to the office and basically vanished. It turns out her 6 year old son was in the clinic with a heart rate over 200. They called an ambulance and she rode with him to the hospital. That made for a long afternoon of waiting for news. He’s the sweetest little boy. He visits with me every morning. They are keeping him overnight in the peds icu for observation. They think it’s SVT (Supraventricular tachycardia).
I sat with nice J after school and visited. I haven’t really done that since the grade level change. Bitchy J was in there and she’s having a really hard year. She went into the grade excited to work with her friend who also teaches that grade, but the two that teach there have made it a hard year for her. Actually it’s just that she’s used to having at least one coworker who just decides it’s easier to give in to her, and she doesn’t have that. They both push. She said she doesn’t think she’s coming back next year. I know she’s not the greatest of teachers, but I hate it for her. She’s hurting. I don’t want her to be treated badly, I just want her to change and see what she’s doing.
Then, I came home and the first things I saw on facebook was two different friends who had to bring their dogs in to be put down today. It just broke my heart for them. Both have other dogs, but that doesn’t fill the whole. It just feels like your family isn’t complete.
So, I’m all sniffly and emotional now. I’m watching Big Bang Theory reruns so I should be safe, then a commercial came on and I got all sniffly again. I’m just a mess and should probably go to bed. I had some horrific dreams last night, though, and woke up exhausted, so I’m not all that eager to go to bed. I’m officially rambling now, so I’ll leave it here.

Oh lord, that is a hard day ! Prayers for the safety and recovery of that little boy . I will never be able to learn of an animal being put to sleep without getting sniffly . Even if it's not mine .
