while on emirates i spent literally a full day flying in the air.
12 hours there
15 hours back
ok so more than a day.
from then til now i have watched several movies that i wanted to point out.
victoria - on pbs. i was able to watch the entire first season on the airplane. i loved it. of course i really miss london and want to go back so badly. i am not rich so i cant afford to just randomly go places. i just have to keep saving.
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/masterpiece/shows/victoria/
bridget jones - the newer one where bridget is pregnant. honestly it was alright. i did not think they needed to make this movie.
alone - brilliant show!! this show impressed me. http://www.history.com/shows/alone
so here is the synopsis. they drop a group of contestants at a location. whatever country.
“There, they will be put to the ultimate test of will and human endurance–surviving as long as they can, completely isolated and alone, with nothing but the contents of a small backpack. Each individual must create their own shelters, catch food from the land, overcome harsh terrain, bitter cold, and contend with a host of deadly predators. They will truly be on their own. No camera crew. No gimmicks. Last one standing wins.”
this the real survivor! i am totally hooked.
snowden - there is a film. i believe oliver stone directed this one. i am not putting the link here because i am giving it a thumbs down. i mean there could have been a story here but from the beginning snowden was portrayed in a way that was “very innocent” and overly dramatic. i picked up on this right away and it rubbed me the wrong way. this was a sympathizer movie. you may consider him a patriot. i consider him a traitor and he should be in federal prison as far as i am concerned of he comes back to america. gordon-levitt played the role well though..
i watched the above on the plane. here is what i watched at home!
hidden figures - i teared up watching this http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4846340/
to see people getting subjected to discrimination because of their color meanwhile their work was relied upon to send john glenn to the moon! what an accomplishment. regardless these ladies work through the differences and made a HUGE impact on space navigation. go ladies. i enjoyed this movie. i hope one would never have to go through this again. could you imagine going to get a cup of coffee and to have two coffee pots with one saying colored pot? meaning someone labeling it. beyond messed up. colored bathrooms, colored entrances. its fucked up. it is fucked up. ponzi loves the 50s and wants to get america great like it was in the 50s. think again!
outlander -
Tina (aka TM) has always mentioned for me to watch this show. now even my father also recommended it. https://www.starz.com/series/outlander
i am intrigued with it. the story line is interesting but i am really really intrigued to go north of edinburgh. i was interested in this when i went to see janet (aka Orange Sorbet, i needed to spend more time!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and also when i saw the Prometheus movie as well.
Isle of SKYE is on my mind

z - the beginning of everything. - anyone who knows me knows i enjoy period pieces
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4878612/
