Thanks for all your notes.
We are currently up to over 1,000 aftershocks (yes, you read that right). Even the kitties are starting to get blasé about the shaking, they look at me, and if I don’t react they go about their cat business.

To add insult to injury, yesterday we had a huge storm come through and there was a lot of flooding. I kept thinking about a song I learnt in Sunday school about the wise man building his house upon the rocks. Thankfully mine is on a hill, so no flooding and no risk of tsunami (my friends in a beach suburb of the city had to evacuate in the middle of the night).

My inner city office has been declared unsafe, so I am working from home for the next two weeks. I have kept fairly busy this morning but I think it will taper off as the day progresses. Finally I get a chance to start on my 4 pages of bookmarks that have built up while I have been travelling.

The thing I am most worried about is the lack of human contact. (oh and another big quake). Room mate is overseas at a wedding. I am not taking any work phone calls, so it is just emails. I might go a little cray cray.

Rumour has it that Mr Trump called our Prime Minister as the disaster was unfolding and the PM was too busy to take his call. Haha.
