3 day w/e in Ok!!!

Yep off tomorrow and w/e. Need to do some work around the house just not feeling like it. LOL got roosters ready for the deep freezer. Need to get them cleaned before winter. Our winter is only a few days at 32 degrees. Last football game for grandson tonight. Other oldest grandson broke his collar bone at practice this past Monday. Gave a big hit. Wrong position, will now need a plate surgically installed. He wants to be a Marine. He tough enough. So all things, considered things going as well as expected. Not a lot of news in my life right now. Guess I could break off and preach. But not today.
Thought: how wide is home plate in baseball? Well it is 17 inches. From Little league to Majors 17 inches wide. I am an old veteran umpire of 17 years. What happens if a pitcher in any league cant throw the ball over the plate? In the majors he is traded, LOL. Little league moved to another spot or is trained. Sometimes benched in high school etc. They don’t make the plate wider. So as not to hurt his feelings. Or wider until he can throw it over the plate. No, they hold to the rules of the game. What if a player shows up late? Do we widen the plate and excuse his behavior? What if the player gets caught drinking? Do we hold him accountable? Or do we change the rules to fit Him and widen the plate.
This is our problem in our homes today. With our marriages, with the way we parent our kids today. With our discipline. We don’t teach accountability to our kids and there is no consequence for failing to meet standards. We simply widen the plate.
We also allow others in society to widen the plate. Our teachers can’t teach with tools they need to be successful, cant use discipline etc.
AND: this is a problem in our churches too. Widening the plate. Water down of Gods word. Softening it up to fit. Hell aint preached no mo.
Our government, so called representatives make laws and rules for us that don’t apply to themselves. Taking bribes from lobbyist and foreign country’s. How does a President in 8 years accumulate millions of dollars in his bank account when he went in with a few hundred thousand? They no longer serve us. We allow them to widen the plate.
