Wicked Game in General

I have a placard, okay a folded 5x8 index card, in my kitchen. It started as a way to remind myself when I had appointments. Because when you don’t really have a particular place to go on a daily basis you have a tendency to forget that occasionally you actually have somewhere to be.

Currently it says “You are going to regret the things you didn’t do more than the things you did.” And every time I walk into the kitchen I see that card.

It digs at me. So, since I am the frugal Yankee living on a Navy pension I have decided to call the flight school and schedule the orientation flight. Not because I think I can start flying again any time soon, because that shit is expensive. But I can at least get a read on the configuration of the aircraft they have available so I know which version of the flight manuals to buy, and which versions of the training software to buy.

Just keeping “as if..”

It has worked so far in this lifetime.

Coming off a cold. First cold in 4 years. At first I wasn’t even sure what was going on. Tickle in my throat. Then waking up coughing. Then hawking up lung biscuits. Then waking up dry mouth every hour because I couldn’t breathe through my nose because of congestion.

It is coming to an end, but I have the theraflu prepped and the breath-right strips ready.

I had a bad stomach ache yesterday. I hadn’t eaten anything all day because of said stomach ache.

I had some soup and ta-dah! Stomach ache was gone. I had a stomach ache because I was hungry. I don’t appreciate how my body is sending me mixed signals these days.

The folks are off the South Carolina in a couple of weeks. They lost their time-share time because of the hurricane. But management gave them an alternate week. So I am on the hook to check on the house. Dad put when they were leaving and coming back on Facebook. I wish my family would stop doing shit like that.

My sister posts everywhere she is ever constantly. They don’t seem to understand everyone sees that.

When I helped Hosehead move to ‘Vegas last year I explicitly told them to not tag me on Facebook. People don’t need to know where I am 24/7.

For some people it almost seems like some form of overcompensation.

I thought about showing up at friend's houses and leaving a card on their door that said, "Hello, You've Been Robbed!" whenever they'd post that they were going on vacation. Fortunately, for them, I'm lazy about things like that.

I had a friend who got his small craft pilot's license and I thought I'd try it, until I found out how much it cost. *choke* Would still be an awesome thing to do though.

FB...people just don't think! As for a pilot's license. I would LOVE to learn to fly, too!
