Yesterday, is far away, so take me out to sea
Far away, I’ve been what never will be
Check me in, to lose or win, I’m livin’ memories
The drift begins, the dream of it sets me free…
One of my favorite driving tunes. I crank the volume a little more with every chorus. The bridge is completely genius. I am no student of music theory, but I know what I like. The way the bass holds the song together is remarkable.
Very good day. The recycle dudes didn’t wake me up until 9am. I was a little slow off the start but got busy. Tore my garage apart looking for my punch set.
At 1pm I finally called the company Glenn works for and talked to their HR gal. I cranked the charm knob all the way to the right and yanked the knob off. I gotta hand it to me, I can be pretty clever. I got a read on M quickly and spun my charm into gold. If you can get a pretty woman laughing, even one you have never met, you have won.
My best line during our brief telephone interview was “What I do have are a very particular set of skills. Listen to me acting all Liam Neeson.”
She completely cracked up, and I fell a little bit in love. She’s hot, she’s married, yep yep yep shuddup.
I can only assume she has seen one of the “Taken” franchise. Hey Liam, if your daughter gets kidnapped three times you are doing something wrong!
I felt the swagger come on strong. God I need a job.
I worked my way through the list until I got to “Call Audrey.” And all of my confidence vanished. Because it wouldn’t be right. It doesn’t take it out of my head. It is there every day when I wake up. As much as I want to be selfish, I can’t if it adversely impacts the only woman I can truly say I will love until my death.
