Just a Quickie! in Understanding the Unthinkable

A quick entry, but thought you’d enjoy seeing my eldest son’s latest. His client asked for a dresser that was rustic yet sophisticated. He made this and the client was thrilled. She was ecstatic when he revealed the secret jewelry drawers just under the top. The picture is low quality, because delivery was late at night and lighting was poor. She’s promised to send more and when I get them, I’ll post. He sold this for too cheap ($600), but she’s a repeat client and it’s nice to do almost-freebies once in a while.

Gorgeous!! Somehow, I wouldn't expect less. I've seen your men at work.

Thanks. I'm not a fan of two-tone, but thought it came out nice. :)

It's a very interesting piece, though not my style. Your son is very talented.

ConnieK Shattered ⋅ August 16, 2016

Thanks. It's not my style, either...too much going on.

That's really nice. He does good work.

Thanks. I love that he has a back-up way of making a living. :)

That's extra cool about the hidden jewelry drawers.

ConnieK Ferret Mom ⋅ August 19, 2016

We're starting to incorporate hidden compartments in most of our furniture these days. Clients love it. So do I. I think we all played Clue too much as kids! LOL!

So very nice. Not a fan of two tone either, but the craftsmanship is excellent. Love the secret compartments.

ConnieK Ragdolls ⋅ August 28, 2016

Thanks. :)
