So work has been driving me insane the last 2 months and I'm thrilled to have an easier on call weekend than what I was expecting earlier in the week.
We have a problem client that I'm hoping is removed from us ASAP! This past week has been bloody, confusing and with each incident, increasingly dangerous yo ALL persons involved. Client cuts when told no or asked to hang on. Client takes off into community....client tried to hoof it on the freeway the other night. Making any attempt to keep this client safe puts us caregivers in danger. What's not being understood by the people that care about him is that we cannot restrain him to stop him. I was involved in restraining him a few weeks ago and my back has been killing me ever since. The kid is huge! As well, he accused another staff of arm-barring him...none of us is going to touch him now.
But it led to him being pulled from us at least thru the weekend. Hopefully they realize we are not set up for this kind of behavior. Rant over...
