NO in Your Face

I let myself feel way too annoyed about things that either aren’t my business, or are definitely out of my control. And then I feel annoyed that I let myself feel annoyed about it. I’m the worst.
Tracy is away this week, so my three days are going to be a bit lonely. I asked M to come in with me at least one day and hang out, seeing as I’m just planning to be cleaning and taking care of things that come up. He’ll probably be here tomorrow. I just figured he might like a day out of the house, and it’s a good opportunity for us to go and have breakfast or lunch somewhere downtown. He can also go to the library if he wants - it doesn’t open until 10am, so he can’t go when he drops me at work at 7:30am.
The black cloud is hovering over my head this week.
I ordered an Amazon Fire Stick, after a conversation with a friend on here prompted me to do so. LIFE IS SHORT. And this is something I wanted for a long time, but didn’t know enough about them and thought perhaps it was a frivolous expense. But the frivolous expense thing is ridiculous when the stick was only $40, AND I spend my money on far more frivolous things on a weekly basis. Anyway, it should arrive today, so I think I can kiss my evening goodbye, watching all the stuff that I normally just watch on my laptop anyway.
Hey, so, does anyone know much about babies born with both sets of genitals? I’m a little frightened to google it in case I upset myself. Like, once a decision is made on which sex the child will be, how soon do they do the surgery? I think it would be pretty much straight away, right?
This office is a bomb site. I’m gonna go and sort through mountains of paperwork and assess what I need to get to today.

I don't see the fire stick as frivolous at all, it's more like self care type thing :) We all deserve something nice here and there.

I'm pretty pumped about it. I've been watching a lot more stuff while sewing, so it'll be nice to have it through the tv instead of my laptop. I think M will enjoy it too, we're actually watching movies together these days, which we never do for whatever reason.

I do, but I don't have it on this computer. I just googled rag doll pattern though, and found it very easily. I also found some that are, like, the whole thing, arms and legs included. I like using those, too. You should definitely try it out! I started with an old shirt I had, and I chopped up all my offcuts to use as stuffing. My friend had the brilliant idea to use the stuffing from and old pillow, but I haven't actually done that yet because I have so many offcuts.

I hope you like it. I'd offer my assistance with it if you need it, but I'm still trying to figure a lot of it out myself. But I liked it so much that I've already ordered a second one for the other TV.

Well that's positive! My main thing is to get Amazon Prime to stream through the tv. But I see something about Twitch on there, so M might enjoy watching that on the tv instead of his laptop (he has a friend that streams for a living, so it's most nights).

The fire stick is pretty awesome. I'm not gonna lie. When the husband bought one, I was kind of annoyed because he had just lectured me about money, but then he hooked it up and I was magically fine with it. I highly recommend downloading the Kodi app when you get it so you can watch movies still in theatres. ;) If you're interested.

Kodi! Hmm. I will have a look! M was sort of ignoring me when I talked about it, because he would have preferred the Chromecast, but then once he actually realized what it DOES (both of us were ignorant, to be honest) now he's all excited about it. It's lovely being able to watch stuff in bed now, instead of the same old tired DVDs.
