Dust in the Wind

Funny that Evel randoms up two songs in short succession that (or so I have read) started as warm up exercises. Aerosmith’s Dream On and Kansas’ Dust in the Wind.

The older of my two sisters is heading home tomorrow after a week and a half visit. I am sure Dad will be somewhat relieved that he won’t be driving all over the state after dropping her at the airport.

The younger of my two sisters stumbled upon an interesting meal option. I only know of them as camp meals and the last time I had one that sister was still in diapers. Basically a bunch of vegetables and a protein. Wrap in tinfoil and drop on the fire. Twenty minutes later and you have a meal.

Pretty freaking cool, Deb, pretty freaking cool.

Tomorrow I am going to use shrimp (which I laboriously shelled and deveined tonight - tedious shit), corn, baby red potatoes, bell peppers, and onions.

425F in the oven for 18 minutes and supper is served.

You only have to use your imagination to think of the variations you could come up with. Chicken, sliced steak, eggplant. A little protein, a few veggies and away you go. Genius!

And you know what the hell is in the package, assuming you buy local and organic.

I have started into the carving away at who is in my sanctum. I have too many perpetually butthurt people both here and on FB to keep putting up with it. I have a tendency to say what I think, and I despise political correctness. Jazz Hands Navy training Sir!

Weird thing this morning. A few years ago I signed up for that dating site “Our Time.” I mostly ignore my daily emails from them because most of the available gals look like my Grandmother.

I am not interested in dating my grandmother, but the iPad makes it so easy to delete emails that it is hardly worth my time to sign into the site to disenroll.

Today.

I paused, because I was watching the weather forecast while deleting emails. It takes about two seconds for an email to resolve on the iPad.

And I said. She’s kinda cute!

52, 5‘6”, Blonde, Blue, Thin. Doesn’t have kids. Doesn’t want kids. Isn’t interested in marrying again. Isn’t interested in cohabitating. Is okay with sleepovers if it ever got to that stage. Basically wants a boyfriend. I’m game.

I wanted to text her and say “Where in the fuck have you been for the last 30 years?”

Lives in Bethel, which is substantially upcountry. In the more mountainous part of Maine, where the ski resorts are located. In fact I don’t even know how to get to Bethel.

Then I took a closer look at the profile.

I only have a few deal breakers. “Legally Separated” is one of them. Played that stupid game before. Won a stupid prize.

She is awful cute, though.
