Tiny bubbles in One day at a time

Aloha y’all. I’m back from my Honolulu trip. It’s cold and rainy here, just in case I needed a reminder of how unpleasant winter can be. Because of the time difference I have been up since 4.30am. Boy, you sure can get a lot done at that time of the day.

The trip was good. My roommate was okay, mid 40’s. a bit of a stress meister, but fun none the less. We bonded over a late night cheesecake factory fiesta (eaten in our hotel room in our jammies). The rest of the group (12 in total) were the usual mixed bag. A couple of the ladies were late 50’s and single. The 3 of us closed down the hotel bar one night. They both had some hilarious stories about dating at that age. One of them had gone out with a guy twice (and not even kissed), and then received a dick pic from him. Her and a friend noticed a chemist container on the bench behind him, they blew the pic up, and discovered it was an anti fungal ointment. Sexy! The other one had lunch with a 65 year old guy. He lured her back to his house to look at this garden (not such a stretch as they are both keen gardeners). Anyway he comes into the room with a raging erection. She turns him down, and he grumps that the pill cost him $35.00. Eeuw.

Highlights of the trip were cocktails and canapes at Trump towers, and a long lunch at Morimoto’s restaurant. Oh and a new Kate Spade handbag. Love.

Now it’s back to saving for the remainder of my reno’s and my next trip away (which is to Sydney). This weekend is the craft fair with Terri, I will be raiding the piggy bank for that one. Not that I need anything, but they do have some nice earrings usually.

In good news, I am currently in the top 8 sellers for our company (don’t ask me why it is 8 not 10). That’s pretty exciting.
