This winter in Just the ordinary things

Last night, I was having problems with my hip and knee, and it took some reading for me to finally relax enough (and the pills to kick in) for me to finally go to sleep. So I burrowed under the covers and read my Nook -- lovely invention, the Nook -- and there's this handy little widget on it that will tell you the local weather. I had to check it twice just to make certain I was looking at it right.

-5 degrees. Fahrenheit.

And another cold snap is rolling in soon they say. Hellfire.

Tomorrow I must go out and pick up my meds, and I hope to the market to get dinner. Of course, a nice array of goodies to celebrate the opener of the new season of Downton Abbey. After what happened at the end of the last season, I've been eagerly awaiting the new, as it was quite a cliffhanger as it were. And I honestly can not think of a better way to spend two hours of a Sunday night.

Also managed to get the review written up for Ann Rule's Practice to Deceive. Meh. And still reading Heir Apparent, which has now gotten to the Mordaunt case, Bertie's infidelities, and his poor wife's suffering in childbearing and rheumatisism.
