i am so behind on this section as well with movies i enjoyed.
i watched this movie on the plane coming from sweden.
i loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i had no idea about all of the beef that was going on with ice cube, dr. dre, eazy e, getting screwed over by jerry heller including that crazy ass guy suge knight out in L.A. if you do not like hip hop or movies depicting real life events you can pass on this entry.

i remember when i was in anaheim last year i wanted to go into los angeles to see disclosure in concert but i did not have a car. i was going to take a train (accustom to doing this in NY) but i recall that the train went i believe through compton and i was unclear of just how safe trains are in california. because of n.w.a and the boyz in the hood i actually chose not to take the trainin to L.A.

i would think there are good parts of compton and of course good people. i just googled “is it safe in compton” and this is what came up.

  1. how bad is compton ca?
  2. is compton safe at night?
  3. will i die in compton?
  4. how dangerous are places like compton
  5. this is the most dangerous place for homicides…
  6. driving through the streets of compton, california

i am not trying to insult anyone at all about compton. i am just really referring to it based upon what i learned when i was younger.
n.w.a said dont mess with compton so i did not!

straight gang gangster rap stuff.
i remember being young and seeing all the gang violence on the television or hearing on the radio or seeing the videos.
i remember even to this day all of that.
being from the east coast while yes we actually created hip hop growing up i 100 percent can confirm i listened to n.w.a. but actually recall playing eazy e’s “easy does it” in high school while i was talking drivers education!!!!!!!!!!!!

can you believe that!
i am laughing my ass off just now thinking about this memory.
think about it about 5 teenagers crammed in a car and we some of us were only like 14-15 at the time and we played eazy e. we laughed so much because there was so much cursing in the album. we played boyz n the hood many many times!!!!!!!!!!!

i wonder what the teacher thought about this.

in all seriousness just be safe wherever you go including compton.
it was a good movie though.
