I am going to be going on what some may read has a rant. But I do have the right to say whatever I like on my diary even if some people don't agree with me and my view's. If you don't like what I write by all means don't read me anymore and don't come back to my diary.With that said I will go on.
I am a fan of Duck Dynasty since the day I watched the first show it's just fun carefree t.v. to me and I enjoy the laid back feel of the show. Did I grow up like them? No but I was taught most of the same values this family is all about.
What I believe in is not what the person next to me does and I don't believe in everything I was taught should be right and wrong. I don't have the right to judge another person's life style,nor do I really care about the life style they believe is best for them.
I have alot of Gay friends and I judge them on the person they are not about what go's on in their bedroom's nor do they care for what I do in mine. Now am I saying I live my life based on what a book says I should do?
No I think the Bible is a good book and yes I have read it and studied it in the past and I find some of the things in it to not be what My God/Goddess would say or feel. Some things in the bible I believe to be true and I try to do right by that and some I don't or I believe it was meant for another time. But I am not writing this about the Bible.
God or in my case The Goddess also since I believe in both give me life and the freedom to chose my own free will to think what is best for me and it's between us when I die to work out how I lived my life,just has it is for everyone else..and for about Duck Dynasty.
I for one am glad A&E are bringing Phil back,according to the first amendment we are all entitled to our opinion. Everyone will answer for what they have done in their life.. and we as Americans are entitled to believe in what we want and choose to believe in. I know that's why my grandfather, father and uncles fought in wars so we as Americans all Americans could have that right AND I SAY KUDOS TO A&E FOR BRINGING PHIL BACK. He has done wrong in the past and admitted to it and now he is trying to live right by the bible.
Phil must be a very proud man. He has reached a level of importance in his life that more people care about what he thinks than what is going on in Washington and the rest of the world. I guess the causes these organization represent must be of very little need of there support.
It's unbelievable that GLAAD and Jackson would care enough to demand a meeting with Phil Robertson. Why? Do they really think a meeting with one man from Monroe LA will change the worlds views. Why do they care anyway? If they don't believe in sin, why do they care if others believe what they do is sinful?
If Phil didn't see abuse of the people in his community, than he didn't see any. This doesn't mean it didn't happen elsewhere. We need to stop listening to people and organizations who's purpose is personnel and politically motivated .
What's going on in this country is nothing different than the Salem Witch Trials.I don't see witches up in arm's in the streets over the countless murders that took place against people who once again had different views then someone else. No We still live by the laws of our people and live in peace and harmony with everyone.
It's time to get serious in this country before we allow entertainment to blind us to the real issues no different than great societies in the past who have fallen. When we start destroying people because they have different views than ours, than we are through as a society.
