The Centre for Quantum Technologies in Singapore ran a short story competition recently; I don't know how recently, but I picked up the notification in the mail:
Short story. 1000 words.
On the theme of quantum.
You know what I'm like. I decided to go off-centre with a short story called Superpose, which talked, in effect, about loneliness.
It's been shortlisted, which means that I now stand a chance at the runner up, the prize, or the People's Prize. I can't do anything about the first two, but the last specifically allows me to solicit votes via social media.
So go here: http://shorts.quantumlah.org/shortlisted-stories
and look for Superpose, by Yuen Xiang Hao.
The voting happens at the bottom. Click on it. Or click on someone else's work, if you think they're better. You can rate the stories too, although that doesn't factor into the voting.
Either way, enjoy the story!
