My boy got vaccinated and it’s been hell. Hell Hath No Fury like an injected baby. He screamed two hours straight last night for no reason at all, the slept like a rock but whimpered the entire time (which of course meant MOMMY didn’t sleep at all). This morning he woke up sunny and smiling, and it lasted all of two hours. We went to the indoor pool and he got crabby after about 15 minutes, then fell asleep in my Dad’s arms while I was swimming laps. Cried himself silly in the changing room. Fell asleep walking home. Cried for an hour while we were having lunch. You get the picture.
Then, magically, after trying to watch The Walking Dead with a squirming, whimpering infant in my arms, he fell asleep and magically woke up two hours later as if the vaccines had never happened. Thank God!
Now we don’t have to go through this again till he’s a year old :). Always something to be grateful for.
It’s kinda funny how since I’m watching The Walking Dead, everytime I see someone hobbling down the Street, my first thought is DANGER! ZOMBIE! Especially since they’re mostly really nice old people who afterwards come up to the stroller and coo at the baby. Zombie my ass.
I’ve only got one more day left in Santiago. Thursday is moving day :(. Back to Concepción and real life, the end of this beautiful episode in my life. I DO miss home but I don’t wanna think about it yet.
