Today has been an extremely busy day so far. It all started by making a nice cup of coffee :) Yum Once momma tab left I went downstairs to work Kita. Kita is my doberman who turns one next month. Background on the Kita; we got Kita in September after the breeder (who we got Arkham ,our other doberman) took her back from her owner for abusing, neglecting and abandoning her. She was very skinny when we got her, like 45lbs and she should of been closer to 60ish, where Arkham was. The two dobermans are in fact sisters. Well anyway back to the point, with school and all I have not been keeping up my end of the deal by working with her everyday, and she does not like to listen very much. She will do some commands, but she completely ignored me on purpose last night. She did pretty well this morning. Still walks well on a loose lead, sat and downed when she was supposed to. We even started working on recall and wait. She is a pretty smart dog, but she is staying on the leash while shes out for the next couple of days to learn that she is a dog and is not in charge. Well after that I loved on Arkham a little, since I had to put her away while I worked with Kita, and brushed Ella, our Corgi. Which is impossible to do, she sheds more than a wild animal. I really need to get a fur-minator for her! Once all that was said and done, I measured and weighed myself and headed off for the gym. I ended up doing 2.6 miles, mainly walking. However, I ran a quarter of a mile at a time! I was super impressed, I have not ran that much in like well forever, at least in over or about 3 years. I normally just run a little bit at a time, because my heart rate ends up pushing 210. Which anyone knows is bad. Today the highest it got was 176 :) yey me! Has anyone ever tried a sauna? They are amazing, I sat in there after my workout for ten minutes, and I felt like a new me, however now my body is catching up to the fact that I worked out and I am getting pretty sleepy. Which is a good thing since I work third shift tonight 7pm-730am. Oh yea, a little bit more about me: I work at one of the bigger hospitals in my area as a Patient Care Tech, which is a Certified Nursing Assistant just with a fancy name. I also am in college at Illinois Central College, working towards my Nursing degree. I have to have my application in by Feb 15th. Alright, so my biggest reason for having this diary is to keep myself accountable for my weight loss actions. I have lost ten pounds already and kept it off, but then I failed to keep going.
My goal is to get back down to 125lbs, which is a healthy range for myself.
I started a few months ago at 185lbs. I weighed in today twice, due to not having my normal scale. I have an aria scale but it decided to become defective, and I am awaiting my replacement scale to get here through fitbit. I also have the fitbit flex and I love it! So my old crappy scale that Is never accurate said I weighed 176lbs. The fancy gym scale said 175lbs so that is what we are going to go with :) Here are my restarting measurements, to help me keep track!
