Horny, Much? in Navigating the Shadowlands

So, I’m 44. Will be 45 in about two months.

Warning: female business talk ahead.

As I advance into the late (gulp) forties my period has changed. Duh. I must be approaching menopause.

But....and I never expected this....I find myself…well…always feeling frisky! Before this my sex drive was pretty low. Now random men make me feel excited. It’s freaking me out!

This morning, as I was listening to the morning radio show I always listen to on the way to work, one of the DJ’s voices suddenly made me just.....MM....if you know what I mean. He suddenly seemed so attractive to me. Random men on TV or YouTube. A random guy I work with.

I’ve also been having intense dreams, not sex dreams but romantic love dreams! In them I am with a man, sometimes celebrities (Jason Bateman the other night!) and sometimes those amorphous people in dreams that have no identity and sometimes even my husband. In them it’s like I’m a teenager again, in that stage where the romantic, in-love feeling is very strong and there are almost literally sparks between two people. I wake up SO happy and in such a good mood for the rest of the day!

Is this normal? Is this part of menopause??
