I finally got a clear answer from insurance about mental health help. I have called the office and left a message. Awaiting a call back now to see if there are any appointments available.
To save time, I decided to go with a psychologist that I have seen previously. She was there for me during the worst part of my previous marriage. She was also the "Marriage Counselor" that attempted to help my ex and I work through some issues. She wasn't unsuccessful... He was. He refused to see her after one visit. She also did some counseling at that time with my oldest daughter.
She at least knows the background of where we come from. It would just be updating her on what happened since and getting some perspective on the girls. I think that saves some time and gets down to the work that is going to be involved in getting this family back on track.
Anyhow, things here around the house are going ok. It's beginning to be a routine now. What worries me right now is that they don't seem to be making any progress forward and they seem to have a lot of sliding backwards. Me and hubby are trying to hold the line, be persistent, and wait out the adjustment period. For now, anyhow, we are holding our own.
I guess that's it for today. Got some stuff to get done around here.
