Feel like writing, but I figure, what the hell.
Just spent 2 hours putting Daniel down for the night. He was totally rebellious today, full of smiles and coos and chatter but definitely NOT going to sleep.
We went to the pool for the second time today, and it worked out even better. He stayed in for an hour, and my dad and I “shared” him, so I could actually swim some laps as well. He loved it, as usual, and slept like a rock afterwards.
What else?
Took down the Christmas tree, vacuum a pretty big-ass spider, cooked a local dish called Pastel de Choclo for the first time ever (and it turned out YUMMY).
Maternity leave ends tomorrow :(. As of thursday, I’ll just be on normal “sick” leave until my vacation days start, so I won’t be able to leave home for anything. Insurance people might drop in any time to see if I really am “sick” (which I’m not, I just didn’t feel like moving to another city to work for 4 days before my vacation kicked in… long story). So long pool, pilates, grocery store and long leisurely walks :(: I’ll miss you.
I just realized… I’m a moron. The entry that prompted my “nobody reads” whine… was set to “private”. No wonder it got no comments. And no reads. People aren’t psychic! :P
