I started a sewing project on the weekend. A challenge. A pair of shorts. I don’t even wear shorts, but I have this beautiful green and gold material that I just picture as shorts, so I’m giving it a try…

It’s tough… trying to do alterations on yourself isn’t an easy task. But I’m working at it. Hoping I don’t give up. It’s a neat vintage pattern with a high waist.

I bought two cork boards for my sewing/spare room. One is going to be used for sewing inspiration, notes, pattern lists, ideas, etc. I’m hoping it will keep me motivated and on track.
The other is going to be my prayer board. I’ll post pictures of the people I’m praying for, notes, bible verses, etc.

My church is about to start a sermon series on Prayer, based on the movie War Room, and I am SO excited!!! A couple of months ago I started writing in my prayer journal every night before bed, at least a page, and it’s been such a great experience and discipline for me!

You've inspired me to do the same. I really want to become more disciplined. I would love to see them when you are done! I love seeing people's creativity!
