FOODOLOGY

What is your salad dressing of choice?
When in doubt.... I rarely use dressings - I often eat salads but they’re packed with flavoursome foods like bacon, cheese, chillies, avocado, nuts/seeds etc… I find that a dressing on one of my mega salads kind of overpowers those flavours and textures.

What is your favorite sit-down restaurant?
Nandos. I love the melt of the chicken and mayo with the heat of the chilli infiltrating my face.

What food could you eat every day for two weeks and not get sick of?
My mega salads. I make them nearly every day for lunch at school. Oh, and my homemade chocolate 🍫

What are your pizza toppings of choice?
This one is easy - chorizo, olives and peppers (sometimes with jalapeños when I’m in the mood).

TECHNOLOGY

How many televisions are in your house?
One. Although it’s huge. In that it goes back a long way! We bought it, second hand, for a fiver about 10 years ago! Saying that, we do watch tv on our phones sometimes.

What color is your cellphone?
With its cover it’s black with bright, colourful jellyfish/paisley type patterns. Without it’s grey (which was cheaper than the black one…)

Do you have an iPod?
I don’t have anything Apple and I’m fine with that.

BIOLOGY

Are you right-handed or left-handed?
Ambidextrous. Although slightly stronger on the right.

Have you ever had anything removed from your body?
Blood, monthly… No seriously, six teeth in order to fit a brace AND, they were all premolars… One tooth which had been filled about five times. Numerous splinters (and bogies to be honest). Not babies though, they got themselves out, tough little cookies!

What is the last heavy item you lifted?
Brand new double mattress. We bought it on an Amazon lightening sale and it was dumped, unceremoniously, in the drive. Tally helped get it into the house then I carried (dragged) it up the stairs (which do a 180’ turn half way up), manoeuvred the turn into the bedroom and onto the bed.

Have you ever been knocked unconscious?
I was the bike in a bike v car accident in 1999. In fact I documented it on OD. Anyway, I signed a form in the ambulance to say that I remained conscious throughout so that they wouldn’t take me to hospital. The truth is that I remember being hit and going down, then I remember the sounds of screaming getting louder as I regained consciousness. The screaming was an autistic woman who was suddenly surrounded by people coming ‘to my aid’ (most disappeared when they noticed the lack of blood/dead body).

BULLOLOGY

If it were possible, would you want to know the day you were going to die?
Nope, no way Jose. Even if the answer was a healthy 99. It would still leave many questions unanswered. What if, at 90, all my friends and family were gone. Nah, I much prefer the unknown.

If you could change your name, what would you change it to?
Ermentrude was my choice and has been my alter ego for seventeen years! I’ll stick with it.

Would you drink an entire bottle of hot sauce for $1000?
Rich would, could I defer the deal to him..?

I’m still unsure as to why my birthday isn’t an international holiday?!

I like many days but rarely the same ones each week.

Month?
Discounting birthdays and Christmas landing in December, June. Summer is warm, days are long and there’s so much summer stretching ahead.

Missing someone?
Just missing the ‘me’ before I became stressy. Not sure how to get her back again.

Mood?
Tired and achey, sitting in a cold building while Tally had a climbing lesson and Lila plays on the smaller climbing area.

What are you listening to?
There’s always music on here, not sure of the current track but it sounds perfect for lying in a hammock to, while sipping a mojito.

RANDOMOLOGY

First place you went this morning?
School. My life revolves around one square mile!

What’s the last movie you saw?
At the movies, Pan. At home, Peter Pan (Lila is a massive Peter Pan fan, as long as it isn’t Disney!).

How many pairs of flip flops do you own?
I own an obscenely expensive pair because they help my plantar fasciitis when it flares up. They’re a make called Oofos.

Last time you had a run-in with the cops?
1990. I was cycling home from the pub, inebriated, and was pulled over for not having a working light!

Last person you talked to?
Lila asked me to put the Wi-Fi password into her tablet (the climbing place has free WiFi)

The last person you hugged?
Lila and/or tally.

Do you always answer your phone?
stolen answer alert Rarely do I not have it on silent so I rarely answer it.

It’s four in the morning and you get a text message, who is it?
Someone that had better have a bloody emergency!

If you could change your eye color what would it be?
I love my blue/grey eyes, but green would be stunning when my hair is freshly hennad.

Do you own a digital camera?
I won a really good one in a raffle a few years ago.

Have you ever had a pet fish?
Our house came with a pond and five fish. We successfully killed them off when we went on holiday, the filter got bunged and stopped working during a heatwave.

Religious, stille nacht. non religious, a fairy tale of New York.

What’s on your wish list for your birthday?
My birthday was last week and my bathroom is chock full of Lush again. I’m happy.

Can you do push ups?
I have push up theory down perfectly. The reality is a lot different

Can you do the splits?
Bwah ha ha! I’m a runner, therefore horrifically inflexible.

Does the future make you more nervous or excited?
It scares the living Crap out of me.

A few, although I don’t remember why.

Have you ever been in a car accident?
Car v bike, car v car and car v traffic light! Today is 15 years since my mum died in a car accident.

An utter mish mash.

Just about every movie I watch!

Go home, get girls to bed, watch Big Bang Theory and sleep (in the amazing new mattress…)

Roses were delivered the other day. With my Morrison’s delivery. Which I ordered 😜

I’d love to know what caused the Maya to disappear from strategic cities in such a short amount of time; amongst other things.

I’ve been married for over twelve years!

Rich does, and Lila frequently tells me that she loves me infinity 😊

A very wide mix since I like to change up my life fairly regularly.

My stomach always makes squeaky noises in quiet meetings. ALWAYS!
