We went down to the bus company yesterday. I am hired. I have to do a fingerprint check on Tuesday. but Monday I have to go to an orientation class. I have the two other tests to do, and I will next week before Christmas. I’m ready for the next chapter. I’m the kind of man that looks three years ahead down the road. This moment that’s in front of us I have waited all of my life for. I have to work at the bus company for six months before I can work for anyone else. It’s a loyalty type of clause or commitment if you will.

What is ahead of us next year is the ability to move to Northern California (rural) and have our farmhouse and land. We have saved five houses in the area that we will be looking at. I’ve just got a couple of things to pay off. then when we get working we’ll be able to put some finances away.

I’ve got my eyes on a hat at Boot Barn, lol. It’s priced at $38. I already have $18 of it saved. I am practicing delayed gratification. Just saving for it a little bit at a time. I can just buy it outright, but I want to just save for it. I’m getting that hat, and I need some thermals, a new belt or two. I am not exaggerating when I say that I basically need everything. Although for starters, I have some very nice jeans, lol. Although, my Wife says they look a little baggy because I’m losing weight,

Momo, our newest baby kitty (even though the shelter said she was 14, they are only guessing though). We had Chester on our bed and he was just right as rain, then Momo got up and looked at him then he started a hissing at her. She didn’t back down though, she looked for him underneath the bed, lol. Poor Chester didn’t know what to do.

My Gosh, I just can’t get my heart to settling right when I get to thinking about moving next year, smile. We don’t have very much to tell the truth. The bed was my late Wife’s. We’re gonna donate it. the couple of pieces of furniture we have will go to the landfill. It’s full of cat hair and been soiled upon. We’re gonna rent a small Uhaul and a dolly for our truck. it’ll just be the kitchen stuff, some small things and the kitties. I’m just not real keen on acquiring too many things because that’ll mean we’ll have to haul it somehows. I have it in mind to get some more of the Dickens village stuff before we get to traveling and some new pieces of furniture..

Before we go though, we’re going to visit Dodge City Kansas, and check out the Long Branch Saloon. Stock show next month, I may have my hat then. I love that I got my Cowgirl right there besides me all sweet like. I sure do love my Wife. She’s something else. Wish I knew how to put a picture of Momo and the family up here, ha ha. I sure will figure something out about that though.

Cheers,
Cbj
