Well, the title says it all really! It was the 10k race for which I’ve trained over the past few months and last weekend I was diagnosed with Achilles tendonitis after aborting a 10k run at 1.8kam. I’ve rested and iced all week, it felt virtually better so I decided to do the race.
I managed to run the first 5k in a pretty good time, then hobbled, walked and ran the second 5k. I still finished in 1 hour, 8 minutes and 6 seconds though!
As usual I chatted as I went around, to whoever I was running near… and told everyone that I had Achilles tendonitis so that they didn’t think I couldn’t run the distance..! The rest of my body felt good to go, it was just that bloody left ankle!
And the kitties healing my ankle!

Awww. Gosh that must've been awful running with that pain. That's still a great time! Most impressive with an injury. Hope you've been resting up!
